During the month of December, the artificial school of fish experienced a lot of hiding in rocks and corals. I noticed that the artificial school of fish would flee and hide when the door to the aquarium would open or slam shut. For instance, for the fist two weeks of December all of the fish were hiding no matter what time of day it was. Similarly in January, the artificial school of shish would hide constantly when the door would open and close. Majority of the time the Fox Face fish and the Tang would hide in the back of the tank in a rock or a coral, while the clown fishes and the neon goby would hide in the front of the tank. In the middle of January, the Neon Goby began to swim around the front and back of tank. Also the Fox Face fish and the tang were chasing each other and hiding in crevices around the tank as if they were playing a game of hide and seek. The tang was starting to swim and feed more around the tank instead of constantly hiding in the back of the tank. On the last week of January, the female clownfish was showing signs of aggression during feeding time because she had just laid her eggs. During this week, the female clownfish persistently chased other fish that came near the eggs. Also this week, the male clownfish changed his hiding spot from being inside the rock to being behind the coral. In the month of February I plan on trying to get the behavior of the fish during the feeding to see how they react more during that time and how the female clownfish will react when the fishes come in her territory were her eggs are.
